| Unsubtitled. An interesting take on the famous historical duel on Ganryūjima between the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi (played by Takita Sakae) and his rival Sasaki Kojirō (Watanabe). In this version, Kojirō receives equal time and is portrayed sympathetically, and there's a significant subplot about Christian samurai. Through the schemes, tricks, and ambitions of the men around them, Musashi and Kojirō are drawn into their fateful battle. (And there is plenty of eye-candy!) |
